LESLIE PREVEAUX
HFI Outreach Coordinator
Leslie is the Healthy Families Initiative Outreach Coordinator at Georgia Center for Opportunity. In this role, she focuses on community outreach to expand GCO’s impact on family-focused efforts. Primarily, she seeks to engage the Hispanic community in GCO’s family programming.
Leslie was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, immigrating with her mother at the age of 3. Now a United States Citizen, Leslie is grateful for her mom’s hard work and determination to live the American Dream.
Leslie graduated summa cum laude from Georgia Gwinnett College with a degree in Psychology. Prior to GCO, Leslie worked on reentry efforts through her volunteer role as secretary and board member with the Greater Gwinnett Reentry Alliance and was named Volunteer of the Year 2016. While volunteering for GGRA, she worked at The Department of Community Supervision’s newly established Reentry Division, serving as the office’s first intern. During her time at DCS, Leslie gained experience in community engagement, communications, and state policy.
Leslie lives in Sugar Hill with her husband, Allen, and two daughters, Emma and Natalie. In her free time, she enjoys weekend outings with her family, yoga, dancing, and reading life philosophy books.
