I believe GCO’s vision and work is bringing about positive changes in Georgia that will continue to give the people of the state opportunities to improve their own lives.
Katelyn serves as Policy Analyst for GCO. In that role, she researches and writes about policies that better enable communities and individuals to thrive. Currently, her research revolves around family stability, employment, and education reform. She also works with community leaders to help advance policies that will improve the lives of Georgians. After the implementation of GCO policy reforms, Katelyn monitors their progress to insure the reforms are implemented well.
Prior to coming to GCO, Katelyn interned and later was employed at The Heritage Foundation in The Center for Health Policy Studies. During her time at Heritage, she conducted research on Medicare, Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act, and other health policy issues and assisted with Heritage events. Katelyn’s research can be found in a number of Heritage publications.
She received her B.A. in political science from Pensacola Christian College. The focus of her undergraduate research included: education, welfare, and taxes. While in college, she led a group weekly in community outreach.
In her free time, Katelyn enjoys hiking and spending time with her family. She resides in Lawrenceville.
