I am truly blessed to be working for a place that is so fixated on creating real and true value by uplifting the brokenhearted and hurting and working to place them on a path to better days. To know that your work goes way beyond the four walls of your office is an incredible thing!
Josiah is the Development Associate at the Georgia Center for Opportunity. In this role, he assists in expanding the GCO’s fundraising efforts. Primarily, he focuses on better preparing staff to best serve donors, foundations and prospective supporters and partners. His responsibilities are gradually expanding into donor communications and grants.
Josiah graduated from Hillsdale College in May of 2016 with a degree in History and a minor in Politics. While at Hillsdale, he volunteered for a local, student-run, non-profit which instilled in him the desire to work in the non-profit sphere. Josiah participates in the Liberty@Work program through which he receives weekly professional development and discusses classical liberal ideas, as well as Market-Based Management.
Outside of the office, Josiah enjoys volunteering, playing sports, reading, listening to music and learning guitar. He’s also single-handedly attempting to break the stereotype of the single college guy who doesn’t know the first thing about cooking, one meal at a time.
